After two hard days of work (but hey, who's complaining) I'm now crawling up in the couch with the sound of Band of Horses from the speakers and the latest issue of Elle Collections. Can't wait!
I immediately fell in love with this jacket I saw in the latest issue of Vogue UK. I checked the credits to find out that it's only £150 from New Look. But unfortunately I don't live near a New Look store... Source: Vogue UK August 2009/ the fashion spot
I've recently started an obsession with shoulder details on dresses, blazers, t-shirts... you name it. Haven't tried it out myself yet, but I'm thinking a DIY project soon. This body-con dress has sequined shoulders. Dress from Topshop.
This morning, while I was getting ready for work, I got an exciting phone-call from an equally excited Bettina telling me that the interview we did last week was out today! It's weird to see my picture and my words in the newspaper. Weird, but still exciting! The article is titled "The Fashion Bloggers" and is written by Christian Tunge for Rogalands Avis (our regional newspaper). (Click image and zoom to read).
(Bettina and I might try to translate the article together, that is if you would like us to...)
On Friday I wore top from Vero Moda, DIY bicycle shorts underneath second hand jeans shorts, necklace from H&M and new sunglasses from Gina Tricot while I was climbing on the roof of my friend Karoline's apartment. Pictures: Karoline
Can't wait to see this! The September issue: a "behind the scenes" film of Anna Wintour and her team from Vogue US preparing for and putting together the September issue of Vogue US.
Do you remember the two zipper dresses I bought on Miss Selfridges last time I was in London? Now Cubus has a very similar dress in case you live near a Cubus store and wanted one yourself.
I missed my bus this morning. So instead of waiting for the next one and risking being late for work, I jumped on my mum's bike. It was just a perfect coincidence that I was already wearing my bicycle-shorts! I wore: tee from Vero Moda, denim shirt from Gina Tricot, DIY cut off bicycle shorts, shoes and necklace from H&M.
On Saturday, Bettina and I set up a table at the Saturday flea market in town. Even though we managed to oversleep two hours and several alarm clocks, we started out at 10 o'clock and finished at 4. We got rid of a lot from our wardrobes, and when autumn arrives we are ready to fill it up again. It was a fun experience and we're definitely doing it again!
I wish I could wear this for tomorrow's summer day. Lovely brown and tanned colours mixed with gold accessories and round sunglasses. Tee, shorts and boots from Topshop, bag by Alexander Wang, necklace from H&M, sunglasses from Le Specs.
Dree Hemingway showed off her amazing closet and treasures in the July issue of Spur Magazine. I adore her personal style and would kill to have her closet! Source: Spur Magazine, tfs
For upcoming fall, Chanel showed mint- green details on accessories and on nails. Definitely a colour I will be painting my nails with, even for summer. The Chanel Jade Green colour is to be launched in October (from what I've heard).
On Friday my friend Sunniva took me to the Moods of Norway party downtown. We had a great time watching the show, mingling with different people and drinking Mojitos! I wore: second hand jeans shorts, blouse from Vero Moda, heels from Topshop, second hand belt and purse from Åhlens.
Sophomore's look book for summer 09 shows what summer's all about: park- and beach hangouts with friends, laughter, late night partying, summer flings and romance. And that's almost exactly how I'm spending my summer, except somehow I manage to squeeze in work too. How do you spend your summer?
